Patriot Riders of America work to keep nursing home patients in touch with loved ones

The Patriot Riders of America are asking for iPad, tablet, or communication device donations to help nursing home patients communicate during the coronavirus pandemic.

Residents at the Jacobsens State Veteran’s Home in Port Charlotte have not had face-to-face contact with loved ones in 6 months, because of COVID-19 restrictions.

The Patriot Riders of America Chapter One Port Charlotte went to help.

They are asking anyone with an iPad or tablet to donate them to the nursing home so the people who haven’t had any family visitors since March, a way to speak face to face with their family.
