Share a message of support to our nursing home and assisted living residents.

Seniors and those with underlying health conditions are especially vulnerable to COVID-19 – and we must all do our part to protect them at this time.

Nursing homes and assisted living communities are following the government’s recommendations and taking serious precautions to protect residents, including limiting any visits, except for essential staff.

But while caregivers work around the clock to provide the best possible care and keep residents engaged, visiting restrictions mean nursing home and assisted living residents are unable to visit with family members and friends.

On Social Media

These positive messages are meant to help residents and staff feel supported during this difficult time, giving them a boost of love that they need now more than ever.

To share your message:

  • Upload your video or image of a caring message to Facebook or Twitter and use our campaign hashtag, #CareNotCOVID.
  • Tag our social handles (@AHCANCAL) on Facebook and Twitter.
  • Tag or name your local nursing home/assisted living community in the post.

This is a great project for students staying home while schools are closed.

Get creative with existing supplies at home – please don’t make unnecessary trips out to the stores.

If written, make sure your message is legible with large text.

Let’s go viral (the good kind) – to protect our seniors, avoid sending letters or cards in the mail and keep things on social media.

Keep it fun and uplifting.

Once you’ve posted, we will help share your caring message to your local facility.
